Community Swimming Pool:
We opened on 6th May. As we have very few lifeguards for the early part of the season, we will be operating with a limited number of sessions. See our pool page for more details.
Community School Hall:
Use of the hall continues to be influenced by COVID and the level of positive COVID tests in school staff and pupils. Regular hirers will continue to be contacted by the Bookings Secretary when circumstances change.

We are still recruiting lifeguards for the 2022 season. More details here.

There is now a defibrillator on the school site. More details here

Nov 2021 Update: Thanks to the Co-op Local Community Fund, we have now received another £2,908 to add to the £3,824 already awarded, towards our new disabled hoist. That's our share of the 1% of the total bill for Co-op branded products that you Chudleigh shoppers have bought over the last year. We've still got to raise some more money before we can buy it, so it's unlikely to be available for our 2021 season.
3 Ways for you to Donate to Chudleigh Community Project
If you are able, we would appreciate you supporting us financially. This could be by cash donation, nominating us to benefit from Amazon Smile purchases or nominating us to benefit from the Co-op Community Fund. Details of how to do this are here.
ABOUT US
Welcome to the Chudleigh Community Project web site. We are a Registered Charity, formed in 1989, Charity Commission Registration Number is 900204. We contribute to Chudleigh life in three ways – we operate the Community Swimming Pool, we manage the Community School Hall outside school hours and we promote arts and dramas events.
Normally open from the end of April/early May to the beginning of September, the crystal clear water is warm! - heated to around 28 deg C and helped by our solar panels. There is a large timber framed shelter adjacent to the shallow end that provides shade when sunny and shelter when wet. The pool has public sessions and is available for hire at other times. Sweets, hot drinks, flapjack and cakes available from our kiosk.
A light and airy space big enough for two badminton courts. Available for hire for parties and events. Facilities include portable stage, seating, tea/coffee making facilities.
Regulars hirers include badminton, short tennis, tae kwon do, Chudleigh Baptist Church and the FISH holiday club.
We couldn’t operate without volunteers, relying on them to form the committee and to undertake numerous tasks for the pool, hall and fundraising. New volunteers are always appreciated and can always be found a job!
