About Chudleigh Community Swimming Pool
The pool opened for the 2019 season on Saturday 27th April and will remain open until Monday 2nd September.
The pool is 20 metres long and 8 metres wide. It's depth is 1 metre at the shallow end and 1.4 metres at the deep end. So adults can stand on the bottom over its whole area.
Water temperature is normally between 28 and 29 degrees C and is partially heated by solar panels.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks, sweets, ice creams, flapjacks and cakes are available from our kiosk.
Pool Shelter: Unbelievably, our large wood framed shelter was raised and commissioned in one day in 2008. It provides shade when sunny and shelter when wet so no need to worry about the weather!
Please bear in mind that if it is busy or if staff numbers are down, then we may need to restrict the number of people coming on to the pool site.
Private hires are always very popular and great for children’s parties, available when the pool is not being used for public sessions or by the school.
The pool kiosk is run by volunteers, whose children can swim for free when they are on duty. So if you have some spare time we could certainly do with your help. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. If kiosk duty isn't your thing, then there's weeding, sweeping, hedge cutting, painting.......... we could go on!
